Fixtures

The 2024 ‘Season’ is under way (we don’t really have a season as such, we play games all year round from early February till late November).

All games are subject to last minute changes.

Once dates and venues have been confirmed this page will be updated.

Planning is underway for a European tour in September 2025 with the intention of visiting a number of countries and playing in a carnival in Spain.

Other interstate and overseas trips are also being considered and this page will be updated when arrangements are confirmed.

Indicative games/trips for 2024 that are currently planned are:

3 March* – Over 50’s game at Toothless 140 Bulimba Street Bulimba

17 March – Annual season opener game (at Norths, Shaw Road Kalinga) against Bustards

23 – 24 March – Weekend away at the Nash Bash Carnival in Lennox Heads (Northern NSW)

24 March* – Over 50’s game at Toothless 140 Bulimba Street Bulimba (Venue TBC)

21 April* – Over 50’s game at Norths, Shaw Road Kalinga

25 – 26 May – Proposed weekend away game against Kingaroy Thrashers in Kingaroy then onto the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival on the Sunday before heading home.

26 May* – Over 50’s game at Toothless 140 Bulimba Street Bulimba (Venue TBC)

22 – 23 June – Weekend away game against Goondiwindi in Goondiwindi

9 – 10 November (TBC) – Annual XXXX/Bustards trip to Stradbroke Island.

23 November – Home game (at Ballymore) against the Bustard Eagles. 

Home and away games will continue to be arranged throughout 2024 but are always subject to late changes.

We are still confirming dates and details which will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.

*Over 50’s games are not organised by Goldies but by the VRQ (Veterans Rugby Queensland) and we are invited to play. They are a ‘Barbarians’ style game where players from across all the VRQ clubs come along and are formed into reasonably evenly matched teams on the day.
